NZ Blood Services operates 11 collection centres throughout NZ as well as a range of mobile collection units. NZBS collects blood from an average of 15,000 people per month. Magazine reading time is available during the compulsory recovery period and often during blood collection. Opportunities are also available for refreshment sponsorship.
Profile: People giving blood are more likely to be community-minded and give to charities. Peak ages for donation are at 18-30 and 40-60 with a skew towards women.
