Product

DETTOL HAND SANITISER is a product used to kill germs on hands without the need for water.

Challenge

Hand sanitiser sales rapidly grew last year during the swine flu epidemic. Many medical waiting rooms were encouraging patients to use these products during their visit to the clinic. Flu concern is predicted to be at high levels again for 2010.

The challenge was to find a way for Dettol to maximise this opportunity.

Solution

898 GP waiting rooms and 52 LabTests were sent 2 bottles of Dettol Hand Sanitiser for display at reception counters. To ensure the bottles were noticed and did not disappear, each bottle was attached to an impactful POS unit developed by InWaiting. InWaiting used an innovative design to ensure units could be produced at high standard, but low cost per unit.
